Courses
Fundamentals of GNSS
Description
This is a 1-day (4-7 hours) course that presents an overview of how the GPS systems works then covers the GLONASS, Beidou, and Galileo once the fundamental are understood. The history of the various systems, their signal structure (simplified), datums and time systems are explained and the many applications and limitations of each system (and combinations) are covered. Point Position, Differential, Real Time Kinematic (RTK) and post Process modes are covered.
Objectives
To give a comprehensive introduction to GPS, GNSS and DGNSS technology, system concepts, design, operation, implementation and applications.
Best suited to: Managers, engineers and technicians who need to understand the basics of each system, and be able to make informed decisions of its use (or combined system) and limitations within their work environment.
No prior knowledge is necessary.
Duration: 4-7 hours (course duration determined by the technical depth required.
GNSS Post Processing
Description
This 1 day course starts with an introduction to basic GNSS post processing, then moves through various techniques for both Kinematic and Static processing, then on to Precise Point Positioning.
The initial (morning) sessions are technical, and the afternoon sessions are hands on post processing using Grafnav/Grafnet post processing software. The data sets used can be you own, or a selection of Good and Bad data sets we have. In the static section, full network adjustments are undertaken, while in the Kinematic section, single and multiple base station techniques are used to give comprehensive coverage to the topic.
Objective:
To give a comprehensive knowledge to GNSS post processing of both Static and Kinematic (Stop and Go) data sets.
Best suited to: Surveyors and Engineers who need to Post Process GNSS data for Land, Airborne or Hydrographic use. Participants should have a reasonable understanding of GNSS systems.
Duration: 1 day
GNSS/INS processing (Inertial Explorer)
Description
This course is based on Waypoint Inertial Explorer software.
This 2 day course starts with an introduction to basic GNSS post processing, then moves through various techniques for both Kinematic and Static processing, then on to Precise Point Positioning.
The second morning covers INS systems and processing options for them, with the aftennon session dedicated to trouble shooting troublesome data (GNSS/INS data sets).
The data sets used can be you own, or a selection of Good and Bad data sets we have. In the static section, full network adjustments are undertaken (using GRAFNET) , while in the Kinematic section, single and multiple base station techniques are used to give comprehensive coverage to the topic.
Both Loosely Coupled and Tightly Couple data sets are explained and processed.
Objective:
To give a comprehensive knowledge to GNSS/INS post processing using Waypoint Inertial Epxleorer Software.
Best suited to: Surveyors and Engineers who need to Post Process GNSS/INS data for Land, Airborne or Hydrographic use. Participants should have a reasonable understanding of GNSS systems, and at least some exposure to INS systems.
